Course Description

Sociology 101 introduces students to sociological perspectives of human social behavior, social structures, interaction, socialization, culture, institutions and social change. The field searches in disciplined ways for answers to questions regarding human identity, social interaction, human relations, and group dynamics. It studies the behavior and interaction of social groups and institutions, traces their origin and growth, and analyzes the influence of group activities on both group members and larger social units.
