Professor Kent Syverson

Professor Syverson is the department chair for geology, and he currently teaches course on: •Environmental Geology •Geomorphology and Aerial Photograph Interpretation •Glacial Geology •Oceanography •Rocky Mountain Field Studies He received his bachelor’s degree in geology from University of Minnesota-Duluth, and continued his education by receiving a Master’s and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Professor Syverson has a high interest in glacial geology and has recently become fascinated by the geology of frac sand deposits in Wisconsin.
