Professor Sean Tripp

Sergeant First Class Tripp was born in Buffalo, New York. He joined the Army in March of 1999 and attended OSUT (One Station Unit Training) at FT Knox, KY to be a Calvary Scout (MOS: 19D). During his career, Sergeant First Class Tripp served as an Operations Sergeant Major, Scout Platoon Sergeant, Section Leader, Bradley Commander, Bradley Gunner and Driver. He participated in Operations Iraqi Freedom II and 06-08 as well as Operation Enduring Freedom 11. Sergeant First Class Tripp has been assigned to the following units: 1st Squadron 7th Calvary Regiment in Fort Hood Texas, 4th Squadron 9th Calvary Regiment in Fort Hood Texas, 6th Squadron 9th Calvary Regiment in Fort Hood Texas, 1st and 3rd Squadron 16th Calvary Regiment formerly in Fort Knox Kentucky, 3rd Squadron 71st Calvary Regiment in Fort Drum New York and is currently assigned as the Military Science Instructor at UW Eau Claire ROTC. Sergeant First Class Tripp military education includes the Calvary Leaders Course, Army Reconnaissance Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officers Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officers Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Small Group Instructor Course, Instructor Training Course, Outcome Based Training and Education Instructor Course, Vehicle Evaluator Course, UCOFT/BATS Instructor Operator Course, and the Army Combat Lifesavers Course. Sergeant First Class is a member of the Excellence in Armor Program and has been awarded the Draper Armor Leadership Award and the Bronze Order of Saint George. His other awards and decorations include the Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Award, BSM, MSM, ARCOM (6 OLC), AAM (3 OLC), GCM (5th award), NDSM, ICM (3 CS), ACM (2 CS), GWTSM, NCOPD (#3), ASR, OSR(#3), NATO (ISAF).
