Dr. Kaishan Kong

Dr. Kaishan Kong is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Languages at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Dr. Kong has a diverse background in studying and working in multinational settings. She received her BA degree in English Education from Zhanjiang University in China, MA in Intercultural Communication from the University of Sheffield in England and PhD in Second Languages and Cultures Education from the University of Minnesota in the U.S. Dr. Kong has over 10 years of language and culture teaching experience. She is passionate about intercultural communication, study abroad projects and community engagement. Her research interests include: study abroad, second language acquisition and teacher training. Due to her dedication in educational internationalization and diversity, she received multiple prestigious awards, including Wisconsin Teaching Fellows and Scholars Award, President?s Student Leadership and Service Award, Mary McEvoy Award for Public Engagement, Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity Award, and Buckman Fellowship for Leadership in Philanthropy.
