Dr. Martina Lindseth, a native of Germany, has a diverse background in language studies, with an undergraduate degree in translation and computational linguistics from Leipzig University, and a Master's and PhD in Linguistics from Indiana University, Bloomington. Her current research is focused on the development of oral proficiency and the implications for teaching. Results of her research have been published in different national and international journals. She is certified by the American Council of Teachers of Foreign Languages as proficiency tester and trainer and regularly gets invited to conduct professional development workshops for faculty at institutions across the country. In her spare time, she likes to go fishing and camping in Northern Wisconsin, hike in the German Alps, grow orchids, and play with her beloved Golden Retriever Luther aka "Duke."
